University Student Sponsorship Programme in Wildlife Conservation (USSP) 2017/18

The University Student Sponsorship Programme in Wildlife Conservation 2017/18 is sponsored by the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK), in collaboration with the Department of Science and Environmental Studies, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), with the aim of giving university students an opportunity to get involved in overseas conservation works.

In this part of the programme, a maximum of six students will be selected to participate in three projects funded by OPCFHK. Selected students are expected to join a research team in one Asian Country for 2 weeks and contribute to their conservation work; encounter some of the world’s most endangered animals and create your own conversation project in Hong Kong. OPCFHK will sponsored the project-related expenses maximum HK$10,000 per student.

Students majoring in any Science and Environmental studies are encouraged to apply. Interested students should have completed

(3) a copy of your unofficial transcript into ONE WORD FILE 

and return by email to ussp@eduhk.hk  no later than NOON, October 18, 2017 (Wed). No late submission will be accepted.

1. Introductory talk – Sep 23, 2017, 10:00 a.m., Lecture Theatre 12 (LT12), CityU. Let’s learn more about the background of the programme and the requirements of different research projects!
2. Application deadline – Oct 18, 2017
3. Interview – Nov 18 or 19, 2017, the interview will be conducted by OPCF and the candidates will be selected by them as well. Keep an eye on your email to receive more details after submitting your application!
