Special School Placement Scheme 2019 is for all EdUHK students. However, those whose major, second major or minor in special education/ inclusive education/ guidance and counselling will have the priority to participate. Through the placement scheme, students will have an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working at a special school, and thus to learn and reflect on this unique experience.

Participants have been assigned to one of our partner special schools and will have a 3-week onsite placement at the designated school. At the same time, students must participate in the 10-hour working group. With the facilitation of the Master of Arts in Education Counselling (MAEC) students, the group will play the role of support and supervision. Students are expected to make good use of this valuable opportunity to broaden their horizons for special education, nurturing their personal growth and future career development.
