Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin is Vice President (Research and Development) at The Education University of Hong Kong and Peter T. C. Lee Chair Professor of Psychology. 
 

Professor Chan obtained a PhD in educational psychology in 1995 from the University of Alberta, Canada. Over the years, he has published more than 200 full research papers and secured about HK$50 million in research, development, and consultancy grants. In 2018, Professor Chan and his research team won the First Prize in Science and Technology from the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine on post-stroke cognitive assessment and intervention innovation. In 2019, his research team won the Second Class State Scientific and Technology Progress Award from the State Council of the People’s Republic of China for integrating Chinese medicine into innovative post-stroke rehabilitation. He is Elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. In 2023, Professor Chan received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service from the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, PRC.

 

Professor Chan is the Chairperson of The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation, a Member of the Employees Retraining Board, Convenor of the Quality Assurance and Review Committee of the Employees Retraining Board, and a Member of the Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals of the Education Bureau.
