Introduction
Aims and Objectives | The Minor is designed to promote the study of film and popular culture in a global context. The Minor offers supplementary courses to students to enrich their cultural knowledge and broaden their intellectual horizon. Entertainment media, including film and popular culture can have a profound impact on individual knowledge and behaviour and on society in general. Filmmakers and popular culture exponents play an increasingly vital role in shaping public opinion and transforming society. This Minor aims to equip our students with the skills to identify and analyze key issues in the study of film and popular culture. In doing so, the students will acquire a global and critical sensibility. |
