Under the theme ‘Care, Innovation, and Sustainability in ELT’, the event marked the first time the prestigious conference was held in the Hong Kong SAR, China in its 23-year history, attracting over 1,000 students, professionals, researchers, and policymakers from 43 regions.
The opening ceremony featured notable figures including Dr Christine Choi Yuk-lin, Secretary for Education of the HKSAR Government; Prof John Lee Chi-kin, EdUHK President; Dr Isaiah WonHo Yoo and Dr Pragasit Sitthitikul, Presidents of AsiaTEFL; and Conference Co-chairs Dr Lee Ju Seong and Prof Angel Lin Mei-yi from EdUHK.
