EdUHK’s Study Tour in the Greater Bay Area to
Explore New Horizons for Integrating AI with Humanities Education
[Hong Kong, May 1, 2025] To promote the innovative integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and humanities education, the Department of Chinese Language Studies of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) organised the "AI, Digital, and Humanities Education Study Tour" to the Greater Bay Area from April 28 to 30 2025. Led by Professor Leung Pui-wan Pamela and Dr. Feng Zhenhui Jeff, the delegation of 25 EdUHK cross-disciplinary students engaged in a three-day exploration of technological advancements and interdisciplinary collaboration, seeking to inject new momentum into future educational models.
The tour included visits to leading tech enterprises such as SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd. and the Intel Greater Bay Area Technology Innovation Centre, where students analysed AI's transformative potential in education, from personalised learning systems to big data applications. At Tsinghua University's Shenzhen Research Institute, the group examined the "industry-academia-research" collaboration model, gaining insights into translating technological breakthroughs into market-ready solutions.
