From 16 to 18 January 2026, the Faculty of Humanities (FHM), in collaboration with the Global Affairs Office (GAO), participated in the Foon Yew High School Education Fair 2026 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Foon Yew High School is the largest Chinese independent high school in Malaysia. During the three-day event, the FHM delegation visited the school’s three campuses—Johor Bahru (Main), Kulai, and Seri Alam—reaching out to approximately 3,000 parents and students.
During the event, FHM representative Mr Andy Ng delivered an admission talk at the Seri Alam campus, providing insights into the Faculty’s diverse curriculum and vibrant learning environment. The session was well-received, with many students expressing keen interest in humanities disciplines and inquiring about the application process.
The visit highlighted the shared passion for education and culture between the two regions. One prospective student expressed a strong aspiration to become a writer, reflecting the creative potential that FHM aims to nurture in its students.
The Faculty expresses its gratitude to the Global Affairs Office for coordinating this successful outreach initiative and looks forward to welcoming these talented students to the EdUHK community in the near future.
