FEHD agrees Memorandum with Cambodian Government

2022-06-09

FEHD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cambodian government yesterday in a bid to strengthen its work to improve the quality of higher education in Cambodia.

The Faculty has worked in Cambodia since 2019, teaming-up with six leading Cambodian universities to establish the Centre of Excellence in Higher Education Teaching and Learning Innovations (CEHETLI) in a project funded by the World Bank.

His Excellency Mak Ngoy, Director General of Directorate General of Higher Education, thanked EdUHK for its support. “Since the first MoU signed in 2019, FEHD has supported the quality enhancement of higher education teaching and learning in Cambodia, including blended learning, teacher professional development, and other collaborative efforts. We are delighted to extend our collaboration.”

“It is a great pleasure to collaborate with DGHE. With the signing of this MoU, FEHD will strengthen its collaboration in various areas with the Cambodian universities,” said Prof Bruce Macfarlane, Dean of FEHD. “FEHD will work closely with the CEHETLI and partner universities to provide more opportunities for professional development and knowledge transfer for Cambodian university teachers.”

Prof Macfarlane and His Excellency Mak Ngoy signed the MoU at a virtual signing ceremony. The signing was witnessed by Prof Lim Cher Ping, Associate Dean (International Engagement) of FEHD, Dr Nith Bunlay, Deputy Director General of Higher Education in the MoEYS, and rectors, vice-rectors, and senior management staff from six partner universities of the Work Bank project.
