FEHD has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College of Education of Seoul National University (SNU) this month. The memorandum provides both parties with a framework to collaborate on joint research projects, academic collaborations, and exchange opportunities for staff and students.
“It is a great pleasure to partner with SNU, as one of the top 50 universities in the world and the leading institution in South Korea,” said Prof Bruce Macfarlane, Dean of FEHD. “With the signing of this MoU, the faculties will strengthen their collaboration in various areas by leveraging their respective expertise.”
“We are delighted to collaborate with EdUHK. The signing of this MoU is meaningful, especially at a time when we are facing global challenges,” said Prof Joon-ho Kang, Dean of the College of Education of SNU. “I hope our collaborations on research and exchange opportunities can inspire our teachers and students as well as provide them with international experience.”
FEHD's Associate Dean (International Engagement), Prof Lim Cher Ping expressed his enthusiasm for collaboration and said, “We are indeed looking forward to bringing our research collaborations to new heights. As SNU is the flagship university in South Korea, such collaborations will serve as a springboard for us to work together to enhance education equity and quality in the region”.
Prof Macfarlane and Prof Joon-ho Kang signed the MoU at a virtual signing ceremony on 31 May. It was witnessed by Prof Lim Cher Ping and Prof Young Hoan Cho, Associate Dean for Planning and International Affairs of SNU.
