During 21 May to 25 May 2019, Asia Pacific Career Development Association held the 2019 Annual Conference: Navigating Career Development in the Age of Industry 4.0 at the RMIT University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This conference provided opportunities for networking, sharing among practitioners, and identifying new resources such as serving school populations (K-12), serving college students, serving working or job seeking adults, and research on career issues.
Dr Elson Szeto was one of the presenters in the conference. He presented the paper which entitled "Career and life planning education policy: What challenges do teachers face in support of students’ career development in secondary education".
Apart from the academic exchange, Dr Szeto visited to KOTO, a social enterprise for the disadvantaged youth, to understand the Vietnam youth’s life and career situation. Their experience should be valuable to Hong Kong teenagers.
