On 19 September 2026, the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held the 2026 BSc(EM) Internship Celebration cum Award Ceremony and Strategic Networking Event. The gathering brought together strategic partners, EPL staff and BSc(EM) students to celebrate the achievements of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Executive Management (BSc(EM)) internship programme.

The ceremony was moderated by two BSc(EM) students, Miss Ray Bai and Mr Jacky Lau
Professor Zachary Walker, Head of EPL, delivered the opening remarks. He expressed his hope for the department to cultivate even closer ties with collaborating organisations, working together to build a more impactful professional community.

Following this, Mr Lam Ho Wai Martin, Internship Coordinator and BSc(EM) Programme Leader, provided an overview of the programme's operations. He emphasised the competitive advantages that hands-on internship experience provides students in the real-world professional environments and extended his sincere gratitude to the strategic partners and EPL staff whose dedication made the programme's success possible.

The event included a sharing session where four students shared their professional journey throughout their placements. They discussed the specific competencies developed in the internship and expressed their gratitude for the ongoing support from the department and their internship organisations who facilitated their growth.

Miss Zoe Zhou, Miss Viann Chung, Mr John Jiang and Mr Jason Chan provided reflections on their experiences in both credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing internships
Certificates of appreciation were presented to strategic partners to thank them for their ongoing collaboration. A notable highlight was the presence of two organisations representatives who are themselves BSc(EM) graduates and served as internship mentors for current students this year. The internship scheme continues to yield tangible career outcomes, with several BSc(EM) graduates having secured return offers and entered full-time roles at their internship organisations upon completion of their studies.

Professor Zachary Walker (Head of EPL), Dr Trevor Lee (Associate Head in Learning and Teaching) and Dr Hayes Tang (Associate Head in Quality Assurance and Enhancement) presented certificates of appreciation to all partners
Additionally, five outstanding students were presented with awards for their dedicated performance during their placements.
