Supported by the FEHD Targeted Research Exchange Scheme, our department is pleased to welcome Professor Andrew Przybylski, the Professor of Human Behaviour and Technology at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom for a visit from 25 to 29 September 2023.
During the visit, Professor Przybylski engaged in constructive discussions with faculty members from our department and the members of the Centre of Psychosocial Health regarding research projects, and explored the possibility of future collaborations. Furthermore, he has offered consultations to our research postgraduate students that provided valuable ideas and inspirations for their research endeavours.
On 28 September, Professor Przybylski has delivered a public hybrid seminar, co-organized with the Hong Kong Psychological Society, titled “Exploring How Internet and Social Media Adoption Relates to Global Well-being in the Digital Age”. Professor Przybylski presented his research findings from large scale data from global polling companies, social media companies, and national surveys, and sparked enthusiastic discussions among faculty members, postgraduate students, and scholars from other institutions, with approximately 100 participants joining the online session and 50 attending in person at the lecture hall.
