Congratulations to our BSocSc(Psy) graduate, QI Zijun on having his Honours Project thesis published in Cognitive Science! In an eye-tracking experiment, QI Zijun, supervised by Dr PAN Jinger Melody, demonstrated that during reading, Chinese readers could preprocess the grammatical category of the upcoming word that has not yet been fixated on. The study provides important evidence for parafoveal syntactic processing during reading. This remarkable achievement highlights the high quality of our BSocSc(Psy) programme and the dedication of our students to research excellence. It demonstrates our commitment to fostering innovative thinking and scholarly contributions at an early stage of academic development.
