Dr SHANG, Haifeng Aaron

Associate Professor

商海鋒博士,香港教育大學文學及文化學長聘副教授。專注於探索與實踐「以東亞漢籍為基礎的宗教文藝思想史」的綜合研究路徑,2017年春創立「東亞古典學研修會」。生於北京,於南京大學域外漢籍研究所獲得博士學位。曾任香港教育大學文學及文化學系副主任,臺灣中央研究院中國文哲研究所博士後研究員,東京國文學研究資料館外來研究員,京都花園大學國際禪學研究所客員研究員,北京大學對外漢語教育學院兼任講師。曾獲聘耶魯大學東亞研究理事會、東京大學中國思想文化學研究室訪問學人。2016年夏加入香港教育大學之前,任廣州中山大學中文系特聘研究員。以漢文化圈「宋型文化」研究為視野,在佛教史和藝術史領域,已出版學術著作兩部:《新譯圓覺經》(2021)、《北宋香譜兩種》(2023)。


Dr. SHANG Haifeng Aaron is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Literature and Culture at the Education University of Hong Kong. He focuses on studying Sinographic texts in East Asia, while his research interest falls within the interdisciplinary intellectual history and cultural flows across literature, arts, and material culture with religions. In the spring of 2017, he founded the "East Asian Classics Academe." He was born in Beijing and was awarded a Ph.D. in the major of Classical Chinese Literature from the Institute for the Study of Asian Classics in Chinese at Nanjing University. He was the Associate Head of the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies at the EdUHK, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Literature and Philosophy at Academia Sinica in Taipei, a Foreign Research Scholar at the National Institute of Japanese Literature in Tokyo, and a Visiting Research Scholar at the International Research Institute for Zen Buddhism at Hanazono University in Kyoto and a part-time Teaching Fellow at the School of Chinese as a Second Language of Peking University. He secured an appointment as a Visiting Fellow in the Council on East Asian Studies at Yale University and the Division on East Asian Thought and Culture at the University of Tokyo. Prior to joining the EdUHK, he was a Senior Research Scholar in the Department of Chinese at Sun Yat-sen University in Canton. Taking the Song-style culture in the Sinosphere as a perspective, he published two scholarly books on the history of Buddhism and fine arts: Sutra of Perfect Enlightenment: A New Translation (2021), Two Encyclopedias of Incense from the Northern Song (2023).
