Valuable information and experience on the operation of a newsroom, the sources of news stories, news sense, news value, news writing and in-depth reporting were recounted by the two front-line journalists at the workshop. Miss Tam described her journalistic adventures during the SARS outbreak. Miss Chan further elaborated on the hard work involved in producing high quality news features, and discussed with students the way to gather information from the Internet.
