I have supervised a wide range of dissertation topics, but I am currently focusing on ecomusicality and the relationship between music and nature. I would be delighted to work with students who are interested in this area and related topics.
My former doctoral student, Dr Guan Tao, and I have co-authored a number of journal articles and book chapters. My invention of a hybrid musical instrument and innovative learning tools has received several international awards. My research achievements were recognised with the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Research 2022/23.
