I welcome prospective and enrolled RPg students whose questions connect photography and visual culture with digital humanities and emerging media. My research examines photographic history, Chinese art history, and digital cultural heritage. I explore how computational methods, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality can support humanistic and artistic inquiry. I encourage students to engage critically with images, technologies, and their historical and cultural contexts, while remaining open to methodological experimentation. I would be pleased to discuss projects involving photographic archives, computational image analysis, digital storytelling, AI, or immersive media.
