BEd (CL) Student Yau Wai Lam Charlene Wins the 42nd Youth Literary Awards for Children’s Literature (Open Category)

Yau Wai Lam Charlene, Year 2 student in the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language) programme at the Education University of Hong Kong (HKIEd) recently won the 42nd Youth Literary Awards of Children’s Literature (Open Category). Charlene’s award winning work entitled ‘一百分’.

 

Launched since 1972, the Youth Literary Awards is one of the most important literary prizes in Hong Kong. It has nurtured many famous writers, such as Wong Leung Wo, Chip Tsao, Ma Ka Fai, Amy Cheung Siu Han, Tang Siu Wa, Lo Keng Chi. This year, the award attracted 71 submissions in the Open Category of Children’s Literature, of which 6 awardees were selected by 3 adjudicators.
