EdUHK FHM Signs New Student Exchange Agreement with Queen’s University to Strengthen Global Engagement

The Faculty of Humanities (FHM) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) has signed a new international undergraduate and graduate student exchange agreement with the Faculty of Arts and Science of Queen’s University, Canada, marking an important milestone in the growing relationship between the two institutions.
Professor Mette Hjort, Head of the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies and Chair Professor of Film and Media at EdUHK, visited Queen’s University together with Mr Darren Au, Global Affairs Manager (International) of EdUHK’s Global Affairs Office, for the official signing of the agreement. The new agreement reflects the shared commitment of EdUHK and Queen’s University to fostering global engagement, academic excellence and cross-cultural learning opportunities for students and faculty.
During the visit, Professor Hjort and Mr Au met with representatives from Queen’s University, including Dr Zhiyao Zhang, Director, Asia Region, Office of the Vice-Provost (Global Engagement); Professor Bill Nelson, Interim Dean, Faculty of Arts and Science; Professor Scott MacKenzie, Acting Vice-Dean, Faculty of Arts and Science; Professor Julia Brook, Director and Associate Professor, DAN School of Drama and Music; and Ms Amie Pilgrim, Academic Manager, Queen’s School of English, Faculty of Education. The meeting provided a valuable platform for discussions on strengthening institutional partnerships and exploring future opportunities for collaboration.
The signing of the agreement represents an important step in FHM’s continuing efforts to expand its international network and provide students with broader opportunities for academic and cultural exchange. Building on this new partnership, FHM looks forward to deepening collaboration with Queen’s University through ongoing dialogue and future initiatives.
