The Faculty of Humanities (FHM) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), in collaboration with the Global Affairs Office, participated in two major education exhibitions in Shanghai and Taiwan, China in March 2026, actively promoting the Faculty's programmes and engaging in meaningful exchanges with prospective students and parents.
On 14 March, FHM was invited to attend the inaugural ‘Hong Kong University Fair’ hosted by YK Pao School in Shanghai. The fair brought together five Hong Kong universities and attracted nearly 1,000 students and parents. Dr Zhang Zimu, Assistant Professor from the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, conducted two taster sessions to introduce the Faculty's Bachelor of Arts programmes. Using the module ‘Eco-Cinema and Sustainable Community’ as an example, Dr Zhang gave students a first-hand glimpse into EdUHK's international academic environment and innovative teaching approach.
Just one week later, on 21 March, the Faculty participated in the ‘New Taipei International Education Expo 2026’ held at New Taipei City Government Plaza. As the largest education fair in Taiwan, China, the event drew nearly 10,000 attendees. Dr Feng Zhenhui, Lecturer I from the Department of Chinese Language Studies, and the FHM team provided detailed information about the Faculty's programme features, application procedures, and study opportunities to local students and parents, offering them a comprehensive understanding of what FHM has to offer.
Both visits received enthusiastic responses, with students and parents showing strong interest in the Faculty's programmes and actively enquiring about study planning and learning experiences. Through participation in these key regional education exhibitions, FHM has not only strengthened connections with students and parents in these regions but also enhanced FHM's visibility and influence across Greater China, laying a solid foundation for future recruitment efforts and cross-regional educational collaboration.
