The fourth seminar of the Global Histories of Education Dialogue co-organised by the Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education (MAGHE) and the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies (LCS) will be held on 28 February 2024.

This seminar examines the mechanics with which the OECD and other organisations have placed themselves at the centre of an emerging global governance of education. Although not a member of the OECD, China’s strong performance in PISA since 2009 has produced major debates globally. China rejects the Western domination inherent in OECD governance and foregrounds an education embedded in Chinese culture.

All are welcome!
