My internship at EdUHK has been transformative, equipping me with the skills needed for a successful career in arts and culture management. Reflecting on my goals, I significantly improved my communication and coordination skills and honed my art management abilities through planning and executing various activities.
A highlight was managing the 616 Music Concert, where I collaborated with lighting and sound technicians, backstage staff, and performers. This enhanced my cross-disciplinary collaboration skills, as I had to understand and integrate the needs of people from different backgrounds. I was in charge of screen control, ensuring a seamless performance.
I also applied knowledge from my Arts Management coursework to create multimedia resources and manage logistics efficiently. This internship provided ample opportunities to develop problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking skills, illuminating my career path and solidifying my aspiration to lead in arts and culture management.
