From June 18 to 20, 2025, the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) was honored to host Prof Su Junyang, Dean of the School of Educational Management, and Dr Zhang Yufeng, Assistant Dean, from Beijing Normal University. Professor Su is a distinguished scholar in education, while Dr Zhang specializes in educational leadership and management.
During their visit, they met with our department’s management team, toured Po Leung Kuk Laws Foundation College and The Salvation Army Tin Ka Ping School, and engaged in an in-depth exchange of ideas through a visit to a joint-school art exhibition with our department member, Dr. Lu Jiafang. The visits provided valuable insights into the education system and student development beyond academic pursuits.
Additionally, they attended a seminar organized by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation for our staff and students titled “The Dual Exploration of Principals' Moderation Thinking and Group-Based School Management” (校長中庸思維與集團化辦學的雙重探索). During the seminar, Professor Su and Dr Zhang presented on topics such as “Types and Management Challenges of Group-Based Schooling” and “The Pathways and Boundaries of Principals’ Moderation Thinking in Influencing Teachers’ Career Adaptability,” respectively.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Prof Su and Dr Zhang for their invaluable contribution during the visit. We look forward to future collaborations with them under the Tin Ka Ping Education Foundation (TKPEF) Visiting Scholars Exchange Programme.
