Invited by Dr Cheng Tak Lai, Ms Ma Wai Yan Jenny served as a guest speaker for students of the BEd(Hons) in Professional and Vocational Education at the Tseung Kwan O Study Centre on 15 October 2026. Drawing on her extensive experience teaching Applied Learning (ApL) in childcare and development, Jenny introduced the curriculum’s implementation, key characteristics, and learning outcomes for secondary school students. An engaging discussion among Jenny, the students and Dr Cheng followed, providing valuable insights into implementing ApL in today’s school settings. We sincerely thank Jenny for sharing her valuable teaching experiences and perspectives on vocational education.
