Representing The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), Dr Maxwell Ho recently led an academic delegation on a comprehensive visit to Shanghai. The visit aimed to enhance institutional ties, broaden academic collaboration, and foster synergies between Hong Kong and Shanghai across both higher education and K-12 sectors. During the visit, Dr Ho met with senior representatives from three prestigious institutions: Fudan University, Tongji University, and East China Normal University. High-level discussions focused on establishing strategic partnerships, exploring joint research endeavors, promoting student and faculty exchange programs, and developing innovative talent cultivation initiatives.
Accompanied by a delegation of four Hong Kong primary and secondary school principals, Dr Ho also visited three leading local schools in Shanghai to observe cutting-edge educational practices and pedagogical innovations. These visits yielded fruitful outcomes, with initial consensus reached on several collaborative projects. All parties engaged in constructive dialogues regarding future inter-school exchanges, professional teacher development, and cross-regional educational cooperation. This successful visit marks a key step forward in EdUHK’s commitment to facilitating cross-boundary educational exchange, leveraging its expertise to drive educational excellence and regional innovation.
