The Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) was delighted to welcome delegates from the College of Public Affairs and Development at the University of the Philippines Los Baños on 29 April 2026. The visit brought together scholars and doctoral students for a rich exchange of ideas in education policy and leadership from a comparative and international perspective. Prof Zachary Walker and Dr Ewan Wright, together with PhD students Moyo Mwaihola and Yin Xiaolin, welcomed Prof Evelie Serrano and four PhD students from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Discussions highlighted shared interests in educational leadership, policy development and cross-cultural learning, creating valuable opportunities for academic dialogue and future partnership.
The visit also included a tour of the EdUHK campus and the university museum, offering guests an introduction to EdUHK’s vibrant academic community. EPL is especially excited about the potential for future collaboration through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) activities. These initiatives aim to connect students from the University of the Philippines with students in EdUHK’s Master of Science in Education Policy and Management, enabling meaningful international engagement and intercultural exchange. This visit reflects EPL’s strong commitment to internationalisation and to building global academic networks that enrich teaching, learning and research.
