With this semester almost over, it is good time to tidy up and sort out items you no longer need. Please separate recyclable materials from general waste and dispose of them in respective recycling bins, instead of disposing of them as landfill waste. In addition, you may also drop off your recyclables at our booth for Campus Recycling Day at Central Plaza on 12 & 13 May. Details are as follows:

Types of recyclables to be collected:

• Paper
• Plastics
• Metals
• Glass bottles
• Waste electrical and electronic equipment (including regulated electrical equipment)
• Rechargeable batteries
• Drink cartons

Remarks:

• Please keep all the recyclables dry and clean. Remove caps and rinse before recycling plastic/glass bottles.
• Place the used lamp in the packaging that comes with new lamp before recycling.
• Cover the battery terminals with masking tape to prevent contact between other battery terminals or metal surfaces during storage and transportation.
• Both usable and defective appliances can be recycled. Make sure to remove/delete all personal data on the devices before recycling.
• Laboratory or specialized equipment is not accepted.
• For the unwanted clothing, please drop into the recycling bin of the Conservancy Association located at D3-G/F. Don’t forget to launder the clothing, ensure the clothing is clean and dry, and put all the items into tied bags before dropping into the recycle bin.
• FO’s Asset Management Policy is applicable to the disposal of the University’s assets, especially those items with bar code label. Departments are required to strictly follow the disposal procedures according to FO’s Asset Management Policy.

隨著本學期即將結束，現在正是整理及清理物品的好時機。請大家將可回收物與一般廢棄物分開，並投入各類回收箱回收，切勿將其當作堆填區廢棄物處理。有關大埔校園的回收箱位置，請點選此處。

此外，大家亦可於 5月12日至13日到位於中央廣場的「校園回收日」攤位進行回收。詳情如下：

收集的可回收物種類:

• 紙
• 塑膠
• 金屬
• 玻璃樽
• 廢電器電子產品（包括受管制的「四電一腦」）
• 充電池
• 紙包飲品盒

注意事項:                

• 請保持回收物品潔淨乾爽。回收膠樽及玻璃瓶前，緊記除樽蓋及沖乾淨。
• 回收舊燈管前, 請將燈管放進新燈管包裝內包好。
• 回收可充電電池前, 請利用皺紋膠紙覆蓋電池末端，以防電池與其他電池末端或金屬表面接觸。
• 不論是運作正常或已損壞的電器均可回收。回收前，必須自行刪除舊電器/電腦內的所有個人資料。
• 不接受實驗室或專用設備。
• 請將舊衣、鞋履等衣履物品投進位於D3-G/F的長春社舊衣回收箱內進行回收。回收前，請將衣物洗淨，或確保衣物清潔乾爽，並放入袋中，將袋口綁好，才放進回收箱。
• 任何屬於教大的資產（尤其是附有條碼標簽的物品）均受財務處之資產管理政策規管，部門必須遵從財務處資產管理政策下之相關棄置程序。
