Project Introduction

The CRSE has conducted the EDB commissioned evaluation on the effectiveness of implementing Life Planning Education (LPE) in conjunction with the “Business-School Partnership Programme” (BSPP). In this review, around 24,000 questionnaires were collected from 155 secondary schools in Hong Kong; in addition to 8 school case studies and 30 focus group interviews.

Outcome

  • Made an recommendation on the importance of Life Education and Values Education, which is adopted by the “Task Force on Review of School Curriculum – Consultation Document” presented on 28 June 2019 ( “The Task Force has formulated initial recommendations on various key aspects… they include according a higher priority to values education, strengthening life education in particular, and starting life planning education early in schools…”);
  • Extended the service scopes of CRSE to domains on Life-long Planning Education, such as a thematic seminar for secondary school teachers on life planning education and career guidance services for students on STEM-related disciplines and for SEN students.
