The Centre for Religious and Spirituality Education (CRSE) was established in 2006 with generous donations from five school-sponsoring religious organizations: Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, Ching Chung Taoist Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, Sik Sik Yuen and the Hong Kong Buddhist Association.
Promote religious, spirituality, life, values and holistic education (especially the newly-emerged domains due to changing social needs) to schools through various programmes and projects based on professional consolidation of good practices and research.
Foster public awareness of the religious, spirituality, life, values and holistic education, so as to establish a critical mass and collaborate with various organizations and stakeholders for sustainable development.
Collaborate with organizations, especially NGOs and think tanks, to achieve policy change by convincing both the public and government authorities that life and values education, underpinned by a concern for spirituality and values, is an essential component in the school curriculum.
Over the years, CRSE has committed to different life education activities, which enhance the communication among participants from different schools and backgrounds.
Established in 2006, it is the first room specially designed for religious and spiritual activities among Hong Kong tertiary institutions.
With adjustable lighting and acoustic insulation, mattresses and cushions are provided in the Quiet Room, which is adjacent to a pond enveloped by the spiritual garden, creating a serene environment for spiritual and mindfulness workshops. Facilitators can also be invited through the Centre to lead the religious or spiritual activities.
The Spiritual Activity Room is established as part of the Centre’s renovation project in 2018. It serves as a response to the community’s increasing demands in spiritual activities.
The Spiritual Activity Room is where spiritual practices take place. The newly established Spiritual Activity Room is specially designed to hold interactive activities to promote well-being and mindfulness, as well as to provide a venue for experiencing different spiritual and religious traditions.

Nevertheless, our work could not be achieved without the continuous support of our partners down the years. We wish to dedicate this page to acknowledge and express our sincere gratitude to our donors and partners, for the sustained contribution and support. The Centre will continue its growth and work towards the mission, with the backing of our dedicated supporters, to contribute to the spiritual well-being of our next generations.
