Introduction



CEAR offers dedicated resources for incubation and collaboration, as well as connecting research-based innovators, like-minded entrepreneurs and early-stage startups. We strive to empower EdUHK faculty members to transfer their research knowledge, accelerate technological innovation and commercialization through incubating EdUHK projects to impactful science and technology businesses that benefit social development.

Entrepreneurial and R&D Support


Training workshops

CEAR provides training workshops that equip CEAR teams with skills and hands on experience in transferring their research output into disruptive innovations or solutions for industry/market. Training and workshops would include Business area and S&T area.
 
 

Consultancy & Mentorship

CEAR offers consultation and mentorship services provided by EdUHK approved entrepreneurship consultant/mentors in areas of Business, Science and Technology (S&T) to our CEAR teams.
 
 

Research and Development Link

Through collaborating with HK key incubators, we assist CEAR teams in connecting with multinational technology firms, SMEs and new start-ups which provide a suitable environment for R&D collaborations. There are also industry clustering, account management and networking services to help firms upgrade their innovation capability.
 
 

Fast Track to startup incubators & funding support

Within the incubation period, our CEAR teams will develop the plan to transform their research into a start-up. The teams will be offered by CEAR a fast track opportunity to EdUHK EASE Fund, HKSTP and Cyberport’s Incubation and Acceleration Programs.
 
 

Networking Opportunities

Networking sessions will be held to give chances for our CEAR teams to network with successful Entrepreneurs, investors, business partners, industry experts and S&T practitioners.
 
 

EdUHK Start-up Community & Talent Pool (Research & Business)

CEAR offers opportunities for our CEAR Teams to develop future collaborations with EdUHK start-ups and EdUHK talents of business, research, science and technology.
 

Access to Professional Service Providers

CEAR Teams will be able to access service providers for legal support, accounting services, company secretarial services through CEAR.
