Korean Language Studies

Aims of the Minor

In line with the University’s twin goals of internationalisation and developing students’ global awareness, the Minor in Korean Language Studies programme is primarily designed to enrich our students’ major studies by content learning (e.g., Korean culture, history and current affairs) at the University or during their exchange semester(s) in a Korean university. The second objective of this Minor programme is to equip our students with intermediate competence in the Korean language, which allows students to use Korean in everyday situations. This translates to achieving level 3 or higher result in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).
