本項目以「書寫語言」的視角結合丘世文和《號外》的研究，檢視這位作家和這份刊物在七、八十年代走過的道路，以便具體深入地審視香港主體性建立的過程，了解粵語作為書面語言的發展和身份認同的密切關係，重申丘世文和《號外》開放式的本土精神，期望為思考共同語和方言的關係、香港未來的思想文化發展提供重要的參照。儘管研究對象和目的都以香港為中心，但我們也關注全球局勢對香港的影響，丘世文和《號外》將被置於社會和時代的版圖中作考察和分析。

Students as Teaching Partners: Developing Pedagogical Materials and Activities in Chinese Storytelling and Writing with Community Engagement under ‘Student Network Group’ Framework (with a Digital Archive of Chinese Narratives Open to the Public)
The project introduces a pioneering mode of teaching and learning which enables students to become active change agents with high degree of involvement and responsibility. It engages students as co-collaborators in developing pedagogy and curriculum for courses on Chinese storytelling and writing with community engagement. The project aims to mold students as proactive, confident and critical-minded individuals who are capable of introducing insightful ideas by increasing the level of students’ engagement in the teaching and learning process and hence, maximizing their learning experience.

Student Network Groups as Change Agents
The project has a key theme to engage students directly to take the role as “change agents” in the learning and teaching process through Student Network Group (SNG). Through the four sub-SNG projects, students work in groups and form SNGs to investigate their interested topics. The student leadership role may take different forms in the sub-project i.e. led by students, partnership with teachers or guided by teachers. As a whole, the project aims to improve the learning and teaching experience and promote a student-teacher collaboration environment on campus.

戰後香港方言文學運動研究
二十世紀四十年代末、五十年代初，是中國現代化進程的另一次重大轉折。當時的香港成為左右政治角力的空間，其中以左派文人的影響較大，而戰後的方言文學運動是他們在香港其中一次主要活動。本項目旨在研究戰後香港方言文學運動的成績，考察左派文人在港推動左翼革命文藝的文學史意義，並揭示香港作為一個殖民城市，如何制約左派文人的宣傳和寫作策略。

張大春與中國筆記
本計劃以台灣作家張大春九十年代末至今發表的作品為主，探討當代作家和古典文學的對話，及其對中國小說藝術發展的貢獻。上世紀九十年代末以來，張大春的作品全部可見中國小說傳統的參與，箇中種種挪用、變形和生發，構成複雜、嚴森、多姿的景觀。可以說，現代作家和古典文學的關係，從未在單一作家身上有如此全面而豐富的表現，若關心現代文學和古典文學的互動，不可能不關心近十五年來張大春的創作。

清末民初的粵港社會與政治──《時事畫報》的方言和圖像
《時事畫報》是晚清時期極具代表性的刊物。這部廣東最早的畫報由著名嶺南派畫家高劍父和陳樹人創辦，在1905年至1913年刊行。《時事畫報》全面反映了十九、二十世紀轉折時期廣州和香港的政治和社會面貌，其中粵語和圖像的使用為傳播種族革命思想創造條件。本計劃以報刊研究的方法，探討方言和圖像在時代轉折的關鍵時期所擔當的角色。
