Overall comments
˙ The Institute has developed an appropriate set of internal quality processes and structures relating to course and programme validation.
˙ HKIEd has made commendable progress since its establishment, using a broad set of structures and approaches that were appropriate for its evolutionary stage.
˙ The Panel is positively impressed by the development of the HKIEd's Education Quality Work, and believes that the Institute has increased significantly in its experience and maturity in relation to education quality assurance and improvement mechanisms over the period since its establishment.
˙ The Panel feels that the Institute has developed approaches to education quality work that are both effective and consistent with its mission of improving school teaching, and that these approaches have become significantly embedded in the institution's culture. The Panel feels that HKIEd has now reached a point of maturity where internal quality assurance and improvement processes are operating at a level that provides confidence in the quality of its programmes and graduates. Given an appropriate degree of structural stability, the Panel is confident that the Institute's education quality work, and the quality of its educational provision, will continue to improve.

Comments on students
˙ Feedback from students concerning their educational experiences in the Institute was very positive. Furthermore, their contributions to conversations concerning quality processes on campus were impressive, and indicated that they were adopting a reflective approach to these matters that was contributing to their own professional growth.
˙ The contributions made by students to the conversations that took place during the review were impressive. They were articulate and confident in discussing the ways that quality assurance and improvement processes operate on campus and positive about the roles that they play in these processes. They were aware of the potential that this experience has for their own future professional practice.
˙ Students were almost invariably positive about their educational experiences at HKIEd, and this was especially the case for part-time students.

Comments on staff
˙ There is an evident culture of cohesion and collegiality on campus.。
˙ There is an atmosphere and demonstration of cohesion and collegiality that is very prevalent, and that finds particular expression in the teamwork that goes into the design and development of academic programmes. This 'culture', associated with the desire for continuous improvement, is an important asset that needs to be sustained and fostered even more widely on campus.
˙ The culture of peer observation and support that is evident in many units.
