
The Faculty of Education and Human Development (FEHD) Reception at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in Philadelphia in April was a resounding success, with over 370 attendees gathering to celebrate the faculty’s achievements and forge new connections. The event was also part of the University’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Distinguished educators, researchers, policymakers, and experts from more than 170 universities and nine organisations across 25 countries were warmly welcomed. The evening provided a platform for networking, gaining valuable insights, and exploring exciting opportunities for future collaborations.
The Dean of FEHD, Professor Bruce Macfarlane, highlighted the faculty’s pivotal role in driving teacher education in Hong Kong and Asia. He emphasised the collaborative efforts of FEHD’s six departments in advancing education through interdisciplinary research and innovative teaching and learning approaches. The event also served as a catalyst for connecting with international scholars and enhancing collective capacities.
Delegates from C&I, ECE, EPL, and PS shared their captivating experiences of working and living in Hong Kong, showcasing the international experience and young talent joining our workforce.
