Peggy and Kamy crossed paths at EdUHK. To Kamy, Peggy is her teacher, mentor, and friend.
Peggy is the programme coordinator of Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education (HD(ECE)). Every year, Peggy fosters close and deep relationships with her former students. After Kamy had graduated from HD(ECE) and subsequently BEd(ECE), Peggy was the first to share Kamy’s joy at winning the Education Bureau’s Award of Outstanding Professional Performance.
To some K1 students, the transition from nursery to kindergarten may be tough. Kamy's attention to, and care for, the children in her class ensured that they were okay. Her warmth, humour, and jokes eased their worries.
“I will try anything and everything to reach each and every student. It can be challenging at times. There is no such thing in a typical day in the life of a kindergarten teacher. I approach each day with an open mind and a sense of humour.” Kamy said.
