As one of the key joint-university initiatives under the Jockey Club Sustainable Campus Consumer Programme (JCSCCP), the Lunchbox Lending Program was launched in the eight UGC-funded university in September 2023, aiming to promote United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #12: Responsible Consumption and Production in campus communities. The Programme introduced  AI-driven borrow and return machines for reusable lunchboxes. By paying HK$20 deposit with Octopus card, users can borrow a usable lunchbox and get fully refund upon returning, without cleaning the lunchbox after use. The machines are located inside the Canteen on our Tai Po Campus. Simply grab a reusable container at the lending machine before you buy takeaway, fill it with your favourite food, and return it at the return machine when you're done. Get ready to change your campus life for the better!  

Since January 2024, users of Carbon Wallet (CW) app can even earn 16 CW points for every lunchbox lending. Don't miss it.
