Solar PV Panels

A number of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels have been installed in Eco-garden and on walkway canopy on the podium between Block D4 and Block E. They convert solar energy to electricity which is fed to the power grid.

Solar Hot Water System

There are 170 solar panels installed Northcote Hall, Grantham hall and Robert Black Hall, supplying hot water to around 750 showers using energy from the sun.

Wind-Solar Lamp Poles

Wind-solar Lamp Poles are located along Emergency Vehicle Access on the podium as well as inside the Eco-garden. The photovoltaic (PV) panels generate electricity from sunlight during daytime, while the wind turbines, depending on the wind strength, drives the generator to produce electricity. The generated electricity is stored for supplying the lighting power at night.
