SNU–EdUHK Joint Seminar | July 16, 2025
EdUHK’s Department of English Language Education (ELE) and Graduate School proudly co-hosted the SNU–EdUHK Joint Seminar with Seoul National University’s Department of ELE and Learning Sciences Research Institute, held on our Tai Po campus.
The seminar featured six speakers:
🔹 From SNU – Prof. Young Hoan Cho and Prof. In Chull Jang
🔹 From EdUHK – Prof. Angel Lin, Prof. Michelle Gu, Dr. Lucas Kohnke, and Dr. Ju Seong Lee
Together, they shared cutting-edge research on language studies and sociolinguistics in the age of AI, sparking rich dialogue and fresh perspectives. The panel discussion was skillfully moderated by Dr. Mik Fanguy.
💡 The seminar aimed to deepen mutual understanding of each institution’s research programs and explore future collaborations. One exciting outcome: an SNU doctoral student is currently conducting a 6-week research stay under the supervision of an ELE colleague. Plans are already underway for a second seminar in Seoul next year!
