ELE X SNU | 5th Brown Bag Series Highlights!
On July 15, 2025, ELE and Seoul National University (SNU)’s Department of English Language Education teamed up to host the 5th Brown Bag Series at EdUHK! 
Four SNU and three EdUHK graduate students wowed everyone with inspiring research on teacher talk, translanguaging in EFL writing, intercultural competence, multimodal literacy, positive psychology, and L2 emotion.
Dr. Pauline Mak (EdUHK) warmly welcomed everyone and skillfully chaired the lively session. Dr. Ju Seong Lee (EdUHK) and Prof. Jang In Chull (SNU) both emphasized how valuable this platform is for nurturing future scholars—and are already hoping to bring the next one to Seoul! Special thanks to Dr. Lucas Kohnke and Dr. Peter Huang for their support.
The energy was electric! What was planned as a 2-hour event stretched into 3 hours, as our graduate students eagerly shared their ideas and passion for research. ELE is proud to keep building bridges, empowering the next generation, and supporting quality research.
