ELE Graduate Students Present at HUFS, South Korea, at TESOL Symposium 2026
TESOL Symposium 2026 was hosted by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) on May 18, 2026. Following the opening remarks by Prof. Hyunsook Yoon, Chair of the TESOL Department in the Graduate School, six graduate students—three from ELE at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and three from HUFS—shared their work and engaged in valuable academic exchange. The symposium also featured a special lecture by Dr. Thomas S.C. Farrell of Brock University on reflective inquiry in language teacher development.
This gathering felt especially meaningful in light of the academic and cultural exchange between HUFS and EdUHK that began with the visit of HUFS students to EdUHK on February 4, 2026. As this marked the first visit by ELE-EdUHK graduate students to the HUFS campus, we hope it will lead to continued and more concrete collaboration between the two institutions, while supporting young researchers and further strengthening research quality.
