Global Academic Exchange Spotlight: Visiting Researcher Talk at ELE
On 22 April 2026, ELE welcomed Dr Boris Vazquez-Calvo (University of Seville, Spain) for an engaging talk, “Fandom, Digital Literacies, and Language Learning: What Educators Can Learn from Participatory Culture.” His timely perspectives on research design, methodology, and pedagogy sparked new ideas and strengthened the academic impact of our ongoing work. During his one-month visit as a Visiting Researcher, Dr Vazquez-Calvo also met with ELE colleagues and doctoral students for in-depth conversations on doctoral development, publishing, emerging trends in the field, and future research directions—further nurturing our doctoral community and reinforcing a supportive research culture. ELE remains committed to internationalisation through global exchange and collaborative scholarship, and we look forward to exploring potential joint projects together.
