The Department of Early Childhood Education at EdUHK will organise the public lecture series titled "Professional Growth in Early Childhood Education." The lecture series will feature different industry experts, who will share and elaborate on various topics related to early childhood education. The content of these lectures is interesting and practical, and it can also facilitate early childhood educators, students, parents, and individuals who are looking further education to learn about techniques and practical skills that can aid in the growth and learning of young children.
Through these lectures, participants can learn more about the latest trends and best practices in the field, exchange views, build relationships and networks with other practitioners, as well as ultimately improve their skills and knowledge to provide better learning experiences for the children in their care and facilitate the overall development of the industry.
The seminar features Mr. Leung Wai Ho, a Speech Therapist and former lecturer at The Education University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE). Mr. Leung will analyze developmental milestones in early childhood language and pronunciation, while introducing a variety of practical activities and techniques to boost language proficiency. This lecture will provide early childhood educators with concrete, professional guidance, enabling the use of evidence-based methods to more effectively facilitate children's language development.
