According to Education Bureau (EDB)’s Circular No. 1/2007, all new principals from the 2009/10 school year are required to have completed the Certification Course for Kindergarten Principals (CCKP) before, or exceptionally within the first year of their appointment with prior approval from the EDB. CCKP aims to developing and equipping participants with the leadership skills that are essential for taking up the principalship in a kindergarten; and strengthening the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of serving principals. The course provides comprehensive training in leadership and management that are essential for the role of a kindergarten principal.
