课程介绍
社会学与社区研究荣誉社会科学学士及地理教育荣誉学士(同期结业双学位)(五年全日制)旨在培训地理科准教师及提供地理和社会学的双学科学术训练。学生将可运用这两种社会科学概念及角度以分析个人、社会和世界之间的关系。
毕业生预计将有资格申请成为检定教员(RT),并可以利用该课程内涵盖的学科知识和教学经验,在中学教授地理课程以及旅游与款待课程中的特定课题。毕业生亦可运用课程内涵盖的专业知识和通用技能从事小区发展和可持续发展相关的行业。

注:
(1) 课堂将会安排於大埔校园及将军澳教学中心/北角教学中心/白石角运动中心 / 九龙塘卫星教学中心进行。实际的上课地点由大学决定。
(2) 获取录入读本课程的学生必须前往大湾区及/或内地其他城巿考察。课程亦可能要求学生参加非本地学习体验,以完成课程。虽然有关考察团将获大学资助,学生仍须承担及缴付考察团的部份预算费用(“学生缴费部份”)。然而,任何个人娱乐丶膳食开支丶旅游证件及个人保险之费用将不获资助,并须由学生自费支付。受各种因素影响,如考察团成本上调丶考察行程所需时间丶旅程开销丶货币汇率等,大学尚未能确定并提供下学年入学学生的考察团团费预算费用及学生缴费部份费用详情。
(3) 从2024/25学年开始,入读全日制教育学士学位课程和双学位课程的学生必须符合「教师专业操守与道德要求」,该要求包括三个部分:1)通过学校体验评估 ; 2)圆满完成与教师专业操守与道德相关的两门必修科目,并取得及格成绩 ; 3)达到相关联课要求。

就业前景 / 专业认可
本双学位课程旨在让学生从不同学习经验巩固学术基础及提升专业技能。本课程的毕业生将能运用课程内涵盖的学术知识及教学技能於教学及教育相关行业。毕业生预计将有资格申请成为检定教员(RT),在中学教授地理课程。此外,本课程的社会学训练为学生提供多元的出路,毕业後学生可加入不同机构(例如政府部门丶非政府机构及商业机构等),为社区发展,发挥所长。
