What messages came from the pupils in these extracts about their perceptions and learning difficulties, and what can we do about them?

In addition to formal interviews, there are many informal approaches that can be used to elicit pupils' evaluation of their learning experiences. For example:

listening to what the parents' say about their children's reactions to their lessons;

other colleagues' involvement during the lesson;
