HKIEd awarded over $11 million from QEF

A total of $11 million is recently granted to the Institute by the Quality Education Fund (QEF) to support five projects:

˙ "Assessing and Improving Learning and Teaching with the Early Childhood Performance Indicators Package"
   
˙ "Factors Affecting Primary and Secondary School Children's Motivation to Study Visual Arts and Music"
   
˙ "Use of the Diagnostic Tutorial Assessment System and the Intelligent Content Assessment Marking System in Learning Science"
   
˙ "Secondary Teaching Evaluation and Mentoring Project" and
   
˙ "National Identity and Global Citizenship Education: School- based Development".

Formally established in 1998 with an allocation of $5 billion, the QEF mainly caters for non-profit making initiatives on learning, management and research within the ambit of basic education.

The Institute has received over $77 million grants for 49 projects since the establishment of the QEF.
