Improvement of Teaching Venues at Block B
Description
A total of seven teaching venues at Block B, LP floor, have been comprehensively upgraded and renovated in 3 phases from 2024 to 2025 to provide a modernized and flexible learning environment that meets the latest standards in higher education.
Key enhancements include:
• Re-planning and retrofitting each classroom layout, with new and upgraded interior finishes to create a fresh and inviting atmosphere;
• Upgrading all associated electrical, mechanical, and building management systems for improved reliability and comfort;
• Installing advanced audio-visual systems and IT infrastructure to support interactive, online, and hybrid teaching modes;
• Enhancing acoustic performance for better sound quality and speech intelligibility to facilitate both in-person and remote learning; and
• Replacing and updating furniture to ensure flexibility and comfort for a wide range of teaching and learning activities.
These improvements will provide students and teachers with well-equipped, comfortable, and technologically advanced spaces, supporting diverse teaching methods and enhancing the overall learning experience. The project demonstrates the University’s commitment to maintaining a high-quality educational environment, on par with leading institutions worldwide.
