The Cambodia Early Childhood Education Project (CECEP) kicks of its first of a series of monthly online talks and consultation sessions

The Department of Early Childhood Education currently has a partnership with the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) in Cambodia to implement the Cambodia Early Childhood Education Project (CECEP). Under the partnership’s knowledge transfer and dissemination initiative, ECE Department is organizing a series of monthly online talks and consultation sessions to facilitate a greater understanding of ECE among project stakeholders in Cambodia. The first talk on "Effective Parenting Strategies during the Early Childhood Years" by Dr Eva will be held on 26 November 2022.

Language: English with translation into the Khmer language

Biography of speaker: 

Dr Eva Yi Hung Lau is an associate professor and associate head of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Education University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lau’s research examines parenting during the early childhood years. Since 2015 she has been awarded three external competitive grants from Research Grant Council to fund her research. She is currently Director of the EdUHK Jockey Club School Transition and Readiness Project. She has conducted over 100 sessions of parent education training.
