A total of 54 scholars of The Education University of Hong Kong have been named among the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists in the 2025 ranking, published by Stanford University.
Among them, four scholars are from the Department of Early Childhood Education, listed in alphabetical order by surname, they are Prof Kevin Chung Kien Hoa (Education), Prof Philip Li Hui (Education), Dr Li Jianbin (Social Psychology) and Dr Yang Weipeng (Education). It has reflected the department’s leadership in the fields of education and early childhood education.
This annual ranking is compiled by a research team at Stanford University using data from Scopus. It evaluates factors such as citation counts, co-authorship adjustments, and author ranking, emphasising the actual academic impact rather than simply the quantity of publications.
