Dr. Yang Weipeng’s team from EdUHK focuses on curriculum innovation for young children in the digital age. With a core concept of “technology + culture + play,” they design a play-based robot programming curriculum (PlayBot) for early childhood education, integrating guided play to foster young children’s higher-order thinking. This approach helps young children grasp programming fundamentals, integrate skills from various domains, and develop computational thinking, thereby promoting equity and quality of early childhood education.
